Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Hydnow): City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, today felicitated G. Pavan Kumar, police constable of Begum Bazaar Police Station for his professional conduct while performing patrolling duty on Blue Colt Vehicle.
It was said G. Pavan Kumar observed the plight of a father-and-a-daughter, who were being teased and heckled by two youths near Shezan Hotel, Nampally at about 11.30 pm on Friday. On seeing their plight from a distance, Pavan Kumar rushed to the spot and overpowered the youth alone and took them into custody.
Overwhelmed by the act of Pavan Kumar, the father of the girl met the Commissioner of Police and narrated his dreadful experience besides expressing his gratitude to the cop on Saturday. On a complaint made by the girl, a criminal case has been registered at Begum Bazar PS and the eve-teasers have been brought to book.
