Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1,798 new Covid-19 infections and 14 fatalities on Thursday pushing the cumulative number of deaths to 3,440 and the total number of positive cases to 5,98,611. The number of active cases in the State as on Thursday evening, stood at 23,561.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, authorities conducted 1,30,430 Covid rapid tests of which test results of 1,226 samples are awaited. On Thursday, 2,524 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 95.48 per cent. So far, a total of 1,63,87,698 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 5,98,611 have tested positive and 5,71,610 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included six cases from Adilabad, 86 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 174 from areas under GHMC, 39 from Jagtiyal, 15 from Jangaon, 40 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 18 from Jogulamba Gadwal, seven from Kamareddy, 91 from Karimnagar, 165 from Khammam, seven from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 45 from Mahabubnagar, 68 from Mahabubabad, 65 from Mancherial, 11 from Medak, 95 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 37 from Mulugu, 26 from Nagarkurnool, 151 from Nalgonda, 10 from Narayanpet, 11 from Nirmal, 20 from Nizamabad, 88 from Peddapalli, 37 from Rajanna Siricilla, 107 from Rangareddy, 40 from Sangareddy, 51 from Siddipet, 84 from Suryapet, 35 from Vikarabad, 33 from Wanaparthy, 29 from Warangal Rural, 61 from Warangal Urban and 46 from Yadadri Bhongir.
