Hyderabad, Dec.22 (Maxim News): The congress party leaders from the state today alleged that the ruling TRS party led state government was harassing the sarpanches by diverting the funds belonging to their villages. They also alleged that the state government had not yet given funds to those villages which had unanimous election of the sarpanches so far.
They made these remarks while addressing a gathering of the activists of Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sanghatan at Indira Park. The organization held a Satyagraha Deeksha program on the problems suffered by the sarpanches in the state.
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, VH, Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Dr. J. Geeta Reddy, former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah and party leaders took part in the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Uttam alleged that all Gram panchayats had been diluted completely and alleged that the state government had turned village level public representatives into decorative pieces. He alleged that the TRS led state government was harassing the public representatives belonging to the Congress party. He warned the government that they would not keep silent if it continued the harassment of their party leaders and added that they would stand by their party leaders.
He urged the party leaders to lodge a complaint with the state Convenor Panchayat Sanghatan and assured that they would respond on the complaints immediately to extend complete support to them. He claimed that he had never seen such a cruel rule in his entire life. He alleged that the party’s public representatives were being arrested despite their peaceful protest programs. He said that the time for the TRS party’s rule had been neared to an end. He alleged that the state government had not paid the bills to the sarpanches despite the construction of crematoria and segregation sheds.
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the TRS led state government had diluted all the villages of the state. He said that the congress led state government used to release funds directly to
The villages and added that the present state government was using the funds to buy tractors, construction of crematoria and plantation of trees under harithaharam scheme. He alleged that no protocol was being followed wherever the congress party public representatives were present. He also alleged that the rulers were threatening the sarpanches of cancelling their cheque power. He called upon the people of the state to come forward and join hands with the party to achieve the village empowerment as dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi.
Former minister Shabbir Ali alleged that the district collectors had also turned into puppets in the TRS party’s rule. He also alleged that the TRS party MLC kavitha had bought the party’s public representatives by fixing prices on their heads and promising works to them. He said that the promised works were not given to them . He alleged that the ruling party MLAs were trying to Dominate over the 15th finance funds. He said that there was a need to protect the panchayat Raj system. The leaders observed two Minutes of silence to pay tributes to the Soul of party’s veteran leader Motilal Vora. (Hydnow)
