Hyderabad, Oct.7 (Hydnow): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today criticized that both the Congress led UPA and BJP led NDA Governments at the Centre are following the same policies to deny and loot the rights of the states.

The BJP Government is stepping into the shoes of the previous Congress government in the centre by seizing the states’ rights, he alleged.

The two national parties of the congress and BJP have failed to address the people’s issues at ground level and denying the rights of the states, he said in the assembly during its session after a debate on Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi. He accused the Modi Government of adopting anti-development policies as was the case with the UPA Regime. The Centre cut the development funds to the states by about 25 percent and says to give funds from Delhi for rural development through several schemes. If that is so, what for the state governments, municipalities and village panchayats in the country, he thundered.

The CM claimed that RBI has informed that the new state is one among the top four states that are contributing for national development, he claimed. We are contributing for national development and the Centre is giving us less refund as devolution after taking more as taxes, he averred.
