CM KCR Will Have Friendly Ties With Congress

CM KCR To Address BRS Meeting On Nov 25 In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 15 (Hydnow): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was happy over the defeat of the BJP in the Karnataka Assembly polls and disappointed over the poor performance of the Janata Dal(S) led by H.D Kumaraswamy, the JD(S) had lost 18 seats compared to last elections.

According to the sources from the ruling BRS party, Chief Minister K.chandrasekhar Rao has conducted a review of the Karnataka poll scenario with some available senior leaders, KCR is happy that the Congress party has won in Karnataka hoping that in case of a hung Assembly in Telangana, it will get support from Congress as he expected and aim to become the Chairman of the Opposition Parties at the National level for which he is ready to spend the amount on the candidates throughout the country. However, he maintained that the Telangana Congress Committees were their main rival and cautioned them to be vigilant about their moves. Their exuberance following the victory in Karnataka may make them go aggressive in the state. The BRS needs to effectively country their campaign, he told the party leaders.

He said the Karnataka results have given a clear indication that there is an anti-BJP wave and party workers should utilize it to their best advantage. At the same time, they should check any possible surge by Congress in Telangana.

KCR had expected that his political ally JD(S) would emerge as a kingmaker and play a key role in the formation of the new government in Karnataka. KCR told the party leaders that there was every possibility of an increase in the number of political tourists by Congress leaders from Delhi including Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The party should be poll ready from now onwards and thwart all the attempts of Congress to gain any advantage from its victory in the neighboring state.

KCR would hold a meeting with JD(S) leaders soon and discuss the possibility of BRS to contest in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled to be held in May 2024 with the support of the Janata Dal party. (Hydnow)
