Hyderabad, May 24 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today conducted a high level meeting on Corona cases, lockdown, treatment, facilities and services in the hospitals and feedback from people.
He held the meeting at Pragati Bhavan with Finance Minister Harish Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, top officials, DGP Mahender Reddy and three CPs.
The Chief Minister took stock of present lockdown impact, response from people, Corona cases, recoveries, deaths and to check Corona virus spread. Since second dose was stopped due to shortage of injections and oxygen the chief minister discussed on the crucial matter. The Government called global tenders for more vaccines to meet the demands of the state. On getting stocks of injections, medicines, Remdesivir jabs and oxygen from the centre, the government will start second dose of vaccination, according to information.
The Chief Minister has taken feedback on the lockdown impact giving mixed response. Since small traders, vendors seek relaxation of lockdown timings till afternoon, KCR took views of the top officials and may change timings by two more hours as sought by people.
The CM took serious note of lathi charge on power staff, others of media at three places in the city and Nalgonda district and stopping of vehicles from other states. He reportedly directed the officials not to repeat them and allow those permitted to move by seeing valid passes, identity cards and the issues on borders also discussed.
The Government is likely to extend the lockdown by one more week in June, sources said.
Amid lockdown getting good results and to check cases and deaths the government is to decide on the timings of the lockdown and possible extension by another week. (Maxim News)
