Hyderabad, Sept.1 (Hydnow): State Government today announced to extend Dalit Bandhu scheme to four other mandals of all four directions of Telangana. This is in addition to Huzurabad segment in Karim Nagar district. Dalit Bandhu will be implemented in all the villages of four new mandals in four Assembly constituencies, the government said.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has stated that the scheme for Dalit empowerment will be started immediately in four more mandals in addition to Huzurabad mandal. The new four mandals are represented by Dalit leaders in North, South, East and west regions of the state.
The selected Mandals are Chinthakani Mandal in Madhira segment of Khammam district, Thirumalagiri Mandal of Tungaturti segment in Surypaet district, Charagonda Mandal of Achhampet segment in Nagar Kurnool district and Nizam Sagar Mandal of Jukkal Segment in Kama Reddy district respectively.
The Chief Minister will decide on it after a meeting to be convened after his Delhi tour with ministers, MLAs and Collectors concerned.
The Chief Minister said that the Dalit Bandhu scheme to implemented by going through related problems of the SC community, their aspirations and requirements.
The four Mandals to be covering under the Dalit Bandhu scheme are in four different regions of the state in addition to Huzurabad segment in Karim Nagar district.
With this the chief minister is able to put a tab on the opposition parties crying foul on the scheme. The opposition parties are demanding that the scheme be implemented in all districts.
In a release the chief minister stated that the government will offer Dalit Bandhu to four new mandals in all four regions. The chief minister on his return from Delhi will call a meeting of MLAs and collectors of the four districts to decide on its implementation. (Hydnow)
