Amaravati, June 30 (Maxim News): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a cabinet meeting in his camp office in Velagapudi. Jagan Reddy objected to Telangana government decision for electricity production in Srisailam project. He said that the government will urge the Centre to address the issue.
Jagan Reddy stated that the cabinet decided to approach the centre on this crucial issue. We will write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this issue and seek his help to address the issue, Jagan Reddy said.
Telangana ignored the Krishna River Management Board and AP Government objections and decided to take up electricity production at Srisailam project area. There is low level of waters and it is not good to produce electricity as the Telangana Government issued orders, he objected.
He expressed displeasure at the Telangana government on the water issue. Jagan Reddy found fault with the KCR Government for its irrigation projects which are illegal. The Telangana government did not get permissions required for the projects and made false charges on us he said. The chief minister expressed displeasure at the way of the Telangana government on the controversy of water.
I would have spoken on the issue seriously and not done so as our AP people residing in Telangana. If I talk anything more on Krishna or other issues our people in Telangana may face brunt, he feared. (Maxim News)
