Hyderabad, July 3 (Hydnow): Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao today appealed people to maintain cleanliness to remain healthy and fight diseases.
He participated in some development programs at Vemulavada in his segment. This town is known as Southern Kashi and the officials concerned should maintain cleanliness he asked.
The minister directed to remove old and damaged houses and clear concrete and debris, garbage from the streets and surrounding areas. KTR directed that the officials concerned take more measures to expand roads and greenery. We can fight diseases by clean and green environment in the houses and streets he said.
The minister planted saplings in the Municipality and interacted with people on the local issues.
Since a lot of devotees and people come to visit local Rajarahesgwari Temple we need to maintain cleanliness.
The minister announced that Rs 20 lakhs to be given to construct a community hall for women in the town. We already offered Rs 5 Crores for construction of a market in the town.
He announced that Rs 1 a tap connection being offered to people by Dasara festival. About 14000 houses to get Nalla connections under Mission Bhagiratha program he said. Improve facilities and infrastructure in the town as part of Pattana Pragati and Palle Pragati and Haritha Haram programs. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is coffering necessary funds for development of the town’s and villages. Coordinated efforts will prove handy for the completion of the pending works he said.
