City Police Apprehended 2 Peddlers For Transporting Ganja In Rajahmundry

Hyderabad, Dec 16 (Hydnow): The sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), Balanagar Zone along with Jeedimetla PS apprehended two interstate drug peddlers for transporting ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra viz., 1. Bablu Khare @ Krishna 2. Govind Patidar, and seized 400 Kg of Ganja, (1) Lorry, and (02) mobile phones, all worth about Rs. One Crore. 

The accused arrested are  Bablu Khare @ Krishna,  Age: 23 yrs, Occ: Lorry Driver, R/o Theen Imli, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. 2) Govind Patidar  Age: 42 yrs, Occ: Driver/Farmer, R/o Kalpi (V), Dharni (M), Amaravathi (Dist), Maharashtra N/o Badnawar, Madhyapradesh.

3) Bablu R/o Orissa (Supplier-Absconding)

4) Aravind R/o Lathur, Maharashtra. (Receiver-Absconding) 

The accused A1 Bablu Khare and A2 Govind Patidar hail from Madhya Pradesh State and both have been working as Lorry drivers for the last several years. At present, the accused A2 Govind Patidar is staying in Dharne village, Amaravathi Dist., Maharashtra state. Earlier the accused A1 Bablu Khare had purchased lorry No. MP 09 HG 3599 in finance and paid Rs.2.50 lakhs as a down payment and got registered in the name of his friend Ramchandra Krishna and paid Rs.33,000/- p.m. as monthly EMI. Since the accused A2 is close to the accused A1, he has also been working as a driver on the said vehicle. They engaged the lorry in South Gujarat Carriers Transport, Indore, MP State. 

 As a part of their business, they used to go to Rajahmundry, Odisha and other states. As both the accused persons are not getting sufficient income for their maintenance and leading their families, they hatched a plan to earn easy money by way of illegal activities and decided to earn money by transporting the banned narcotic drugs such as Ganja etc. in their vehicle. While so recently the accused A3 Bablu who belongs to Odisha state and is dealing with the banned Ganja came into contact with the accused A1 and A2 and asked to transport Ganja from the Rajahmundry area to Lathur and hand over the same to A4 Aravind of Latur. 

 Accordingly, the A1 and A2 had agreed and on 14-12-2023 the said A3 paid Rs.75,000/- to A1 as advance. The accused spent the amount for repairing the said vehicle at Rajahmundry. However, on 14-12-2023 the A3 informed the A1 that A4 Aravind would meet them at Sangareddy and take them to Lathur. Accordingly on the same day the labour loaded 40 sealed bundles wg. 400 kgs. of Ganja in the outskirts of Rajahmundry and covered with nursery plants etc. Both the accused A1 and A2 left the place on 15-12-2023 in the evening at about 1830 hrs. While they were transporting the Ganja in the said vehicle the SOT Balanagar with the assistance of Jeedimetla PS intercepted the vehicle and arrested both the accused and seized 400 kgs. of Ganja and lorry and two mobile phones from A1 and A2.
