Hyderabad, Aug.8 (Hydnow): Confederation of Indian Industry-Telangana (CII-T) congratulates the Government of Telangana for the wonderful virtual celebration of National Handloom day.
CII applauds the Minister KTR’s Vision to promote handlooms and handicrafts of the State. The announcements on logo design contest and Aalambana App will go a long way to promote handlooms amongst the citizens and will encourage the citizens to embrace Indian handlooms. CII also congratulates Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, ITE&C Departments, Government of Telangana and Shailaja Ramaiyer Director of Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Telangana for the commendable initiatives taken to promote the National Handloom Day.
Subhajit Saha, Director & Head, CII Telangana, participated in the Panel discussion on Branding & Marketing Strategies of Telangana handlooms. He suggested to promote handlooms and GI for the state, a GI store, a museum in Golconda fort on handicrafts and handlooms can be explored. GI tourism and A brand ambassador for GI for the state to be encouraged to make GI popular among the masses. Each district of the State needs to identify traditional handlooms under the GI registration ambit. These initiatives will help to promote handlooms and make GI popular among the citizens. (Hydnow)
