In recent developments, lawyer Ginjupalli Subbarao has filed a petition in the ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) court requesting bail for Chandrababu. Subbarao argues that the charges brought against Chandrababu by the CID (Crime Investigation Department) lack a solid basis.
In his petition, Subbarao points out that the CID’s investigation refers to Chandrababu as “A37” in the remand report but doesn’t mention his name in the FIR (First Information Report). He is calling for a thorough inquiry into this matter before granting bail to Chandrababu.
The ACB Court in Vijayawada has received the petition and is scheduled to hold a hearing on it tomorrow. Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh authorities have issued notices to the CID regarding this petition.
It’s worth noting that just two days ago, a TDP activist named Mahesh also filed a bail petition for Chandrababu, which was rejected due to its brevity, consisting of only two pages. However, the ACB court has accepted lawyer G. Subbarao’s petition and will commence the hearing on Friday. Notice has been served to the CID in this regard.
