Hyderabad, Dec.17 (Hydnow): CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today demanded the state government to protect the Kali temple land in the old city. He wondered as to what the state government and the officials of the endowments department when the land sharks were encroaching upon land worth ₹100 crore. He made these remarks after visiting the 7.3 acres of land of Kali mata temple located in survey number 24,25 and 26 of Uppuguda.
Speaking on the occasion he alleged that the state government was acting in a blind manner despite the encroachment of tank, ponds and endowments lands. He said that their party had protected the lands of Lalitha Bagh based Kalika matha temple and added that they would go to any extent to protect the lands. He said that they would hold a dharna before the office of the endowments department in the next two days .
He demanded the state government state government to invoke PD act against those who tried to encroach upon the temple land. (Hydnow)
