Delhi/Hyderabad, Nov 26 (Hydnow): Alarm bells are ringing again in China. In North China, the scenes of the early days of Covid are being seen again. Pneumonia-like symptoms are emerging in children in many schools. Moreover, this disease is spreading very fast.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued an alert to all states and Union Territories. States have been asked to review the availability of staff, beds, PPE kits, ventilators, testing kits, reagents and other facilities in government hospitals. It is requested to ensure that all these facilities are adequate. It is also suggested that oxygen cylinders should be kept available. Actions have been taken to ensure strict implementation of the infection control protocol.
The health Department has suggested that the details of respiratory diseases occuring in children should be monitored from time to time and the data of registered cases should be uploaded in the district and state surveillance units from time to time. It said that if the data is correct, the situation can be monitored accurately.
China, which is still suffering from the covid epidemic somewhere in the country, is struggling with the latest cases of enemamatic pneumonia. These cases are being reported among school children and are spreading rapidly. But the China Health Commission has clarified that no new virus is the cause of these pneumonia cases. However, it is noteworthy that the World Health Organization (WHO) has asked the Chinese government to provide more information on these cases. (Hydnow)
