Amaravati, July 19 (Hydnow): Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botcha Satyanarayana today alleged that the opposition leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu had wasted huge amount of public money in the name of the construction of state capital at Amaravati.
Citing that the Chief Minister of the state YS Jaganmohan Reddy took the decision of the establishment of three capitals in order to fulfill the wishes of the people of Kurnool, Visakhapatnam and Amaravati, he alleged that Naidu wrote a letter to the Governor of the state to protect the interests of his community and its people. He alleged that Naidu was lying on the issue of the recommendation of Amaravati as the state capital by the experts committee and added that the report submitted by siva Ramakrishnan committee had recommended the establishment of three capitals at three different places of the state.
He said that only Narayana committee had recommended the establishment of the state capital at Amaravati on the basis of the recommendation of Naidu himself. He alleged that Naidu tried to waste thousands of crores of public money in the name of the state capital. He said that Naidu had spent ₹325 on the preparation of state capital plans and added that ₹1300 crore was spent for land pooling. (Hydnow)
