Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Hydnow): Telangana Assembly session of Monsoon is likely to be held for 20 days from September 7 by following Corona protocols and pass a few key bills.
This was informed by Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy in an informal chat with media persons here.
The opposition parties are making charges on Srisailam power plant incident of a conspiracy and human error he said. Seating arrangements are being made as per Covid -19 norms and eight more seats will be provided in the council hall he said. As per corona protocols, wearing masks, thermal screening, sanitising will be provided in the Assembly and the council during session.
Sukhender Reddy stated that Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will decide on the number of Assembly session. As per Chief Minister K Chandra sekhar Rao the arrangements are being made for the session to pass a few bills including new revenue act, and others he said. The session will pass a resolution urging the Centre according Bharat Rather award on former prime minister P V Narsimha Rao.
The chairman alleged the opposition remarks on Srisailam power plant incident. An inquiry on Srisailam power plant incident is going to reveal the lapses, causes and whether it is human error he said. Srisailam project is lifeline for Telangana and power works will resume as planned. As the congress leaders myself and Jana Reddy have opposed RDS. Now the Congress party leaders are playing double standards on Pothireddipadu he charged.
He took exception that AP government plan of Rayalsaeema lift and other are illegal as it causes loss to our state. Telangana will not accept to lose its share of waters from rivers. The AP Government should desist from looting our waters he suggested. AP should take permission of apex council and follow reorganisation act on projects. The KCR Government will fight for our share of waters, he added. (Hydnow)
