Babri Demolition Episode Is Tragic Incident In PV’s Life: Jeevan Reddy

Jagitiyal, June 28 (Hydnow): Veteran Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy paid tributes to former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao on his 99th birth anniversary at his residence in city.

Speaking on the occasion, Jeevan Reddy said that the demolition of the Babri mosque was the unfortunate incident that took place in PV’s political life. Recalling that a conspiracy was hatched to demolish the Babri mosque by some people, he said that PV had failed to foil it. Reddy said that the failure of PV had not only brought a bad name for himself but also to the party at national and international level. He also reminded that the party president Sonia Gandhi had recommended the name of PV for the post of prime minister after the death of the former PM Rajiv Gandhi as she thought that PV would work hard to protect the unity in the country. He hailed that PV had worked hard for the economic development of the country during his five year long rule. He also said that PV was a very close confidant of former PM Indira Gandhi. (Hydnow)
