Hyderabad, June 10 (Hydnow): All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi today welcomed the changes made by the centre on vaccination policy. He appreciated Walk in vaccination policy of the centre as it offers doses to people without any problems.
Owaisi said that the centre made changes in the Cowin website for vaccination is good.
Earlier he opposed the website and central government policy on the vaccination policy. However, the Centre made changes softening norms to get vaccines at the vaccination centers directly.
He expressed content that the centre enabled states with powers to offer vaccines to people in an easy manner.
The centre on May 24 allowed 18-44 years age groups to get vaccines directly. Since there was a criticism on vaccination through Cowin Portal the centre took steps making necessary changes.
Owaisi said that only 25 percent people get net facility and 80 percent with smart phones cannot handle the site to get doses he observed. He expressed concern that 80 percent people with smart phones facing technical problems. There is no use of Covid portal to vaccinate all so it is to be cancelled, he demanded.
The MP stated that the supreme court too observed that through website the centre cannot complete the project to give vaccines to all. The MP said that it will create digital divide and people become helpless. (Hydnow)
