Tadepally, July 7 (Hydnow): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his government was hopeful of getting a favourable judgment in house patta distribution program to the poor people of the state in Supreme Court of India.
Alleging that rival TDP leaders approached the apex court of the country on the issue, he said that the case could not be heard by the Supreme Court due to Covid 19 outbreak in the country. He said that they had decided to distribute the house pattas on the occasion of independence day August 15 with intention that the poor people of the state would also get freedom on the same day. Noting that they can still distribute the house pattas as D-pattas he said that they wanted to register the properties in the name of the women of the state before their distribution. Reddy hoped that the justice would eventually win while noting that they had taken up the program with a good intention. He made these remarks during his spandana program.
The CM reviewed on various issues like house pattas, sand, MGNREGS, works and covid 19 prevention steps. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they were going to give the pattas to 20 percent of the population of the state and added that they would make 30 lakh families of the state as the house owners. He also said that they had acquired 62,000 acres of land for the distribution of the house pattas. He said that they had spent Rs.7500 crore fo the purchase of private lands and added that they would hand over Rs.20,000 crore worth land to the 30 lakh families of the state. (Hydnow)
