Any Negligence In Performing Election Duty Will Be Dealt Seriously: CP Sandeep Shandilya

Hyderabad, Oct 15 (Hydnow): Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya has instructed the department officials saying that any negligence in performing the election duty will be dealt with seriously.

In view of the forthcoming election to the Telangana Legislative Assembly, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner held a meeting with all DCPs, Addl, DCPs, ACPs, Inspectors of South, South East, East, South West, and Central zones and Task forces, today and Discussed on Categorisation of Police Stations into A, B, C categories, Sanctioned strength of each PS.- Election preparedness: Enforcement work(Cash, liquor, Freebies, drugs/ganja, precious metals) MCC violations and booking cases, NBW execution, Bound overs, Arms deposit, Action against Rowdy sheeters, Vulnerability Mapping, Critical Polling Locations, and Critical Polling Stations, Zonal Election Cell etc.

The law & order police were given instructions in order to conduct the upcoming elections without any prejudice. To conduct the elections peacefully all the officers were instructed to take strengthened actions if necessary.

All the officers were instructed according to the Model code of conduct and also cleared their doubts on some aspects. A review was taken of the performance of the Task Force for the past 15 days.

The 90 flying squads located in the 15 MLA constituencies of Hyderabad were instructed to conduct their duties responsibly. In order to conduct the elections without any bias CP Hyderabad instructed all the officers to act as “Free, Fair &; Firm”. Any negligence in performing their duties will be dealt with serious disciplinary actions.
