Hyderabad, Aug.18 (Hydnow): The All India Kisan Congress today wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of the state KCR and demanded an explanation from him on the problems being faced by the farmers of the state.
The Vice Chairman of the Congress and senior Congress leader M. Kodanda Reddy in his letter told the Chief Minister that it had been 32 months since the Chief Minister had announced his flagship land record purification scheme. He said that the program which was announced with an objective to cash in on in the elections, he said that the ruling TRS Party came into power by banking upon its pro-farmer scheme Rythu Bandhu. He said that lakhs of farmers of the state had not got the pattadar passbooks even after 32 months of the purification drive and added that some of the affected farmers had even committed suicides.
He made it clear to the CM it was very important to the farmers to have the passbooks to sell their produce at procurement centers , purchase fertilisers and seeds and avail bank Loans. He said that the CM had failed to complete the inquiry into the suicide of a Dalit farmer from his own assembly constituency Gajwel . Referring to the recent issue involving the arrest of a corrupt Thasildar in a land dispute case, he demanded the CM to reveal the details of the extent of the lands facing legal and other disputes, the details of all government lands, bhoodan lands, endowments lands, Waqf lands and Shikam lands.(Hydnow)
