Hyderabad, Oct 30 (Hydnow): there is a debate in the AIMIM over finalizing the candidates to contest the Assembly elections, inside the party, the pressure is increasing on party Chief Asaduddin Owaisi for tickets like never before.
The sources that the party is making arrangements to release the list with 25 people in two days. The senior MLAs of the party, Syed Ahmed Pasha Qadri (Yakutpura) and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan (Charminar) have decided to withdraw from the contest due to their age and health problems, while Mumtaz Ahmed Khan’s sons Imtiaz Khan and Chandrayana Gutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi’s son Nooruddin Owaisi are demanding to be given tickets in their seats.
It is learned that the party leader has decided to send Nampally MLA Zafar Hussain Meraj to Yakutpura and replace him with the ticket of former city mayor Majid Hussain as there is strong local opposition to him if the situation is not favorable.
It is learned that the leaders of MIM, who are confident that they will win again in their seven sitting seats, have decided to field the party candidates strategically to win the BRS candidates in the remaining seats. In addition to the seven sitting seats, the Majlis party is planning to field candidates in Jubilee Hills, Rajendranagar, Mushirabad, Amberpet, Maheswaram, Vikarabad, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar and some other seats. It is learned that it has been decided to act strategically to win the BRS by diverting the minority votes of the respective constituencies to the MIM instead of going to the Congress candidates.
