Actress Meera Chopra come out against some Twitter accounts, allegedly of fans of a popular Tollywood star, accusing them of trolling, abusing her and threatening sexual violence.
The tweets were made through a few Twitter handles bearing pictures of the Tollywood actor and according to the police here, have been deleted now.
The tweets which she shared with the police and National Women’s Commission were those that had derogatory comments and threats of sexual violence.

The actress also tagged the Hyderabad City Police and sought action against the persons as she suspected they were from Hyderabad.
An official of the Hyderabad Cyber Crime wing said after the actress approached them through Twitter, they had checked the Twitter accounts and found them to be deleted.
“Apparently the persons might have deleted the accounts after posting the messages. So far no case has been registered since no formal complaint is lodged,” the official said.
