Amaravathi/Hyderabad, Sept 9 (Hydnow): Governor Abdul Nazir expressed surprise over the arrest of TDP leader and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
according to reliable sources, the Governor is unhappy with the lack of information. Neither the Governor nor the Governor’s office was approached by the CID officials to arrest Chandrababu in a case of skill development. In order to arrest former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the Governor’s permission is mandatory under the Anti-corruption Act. After the law amendment made in 2018, the Governor has to give permission.
However, it is reported that no permission was taken from the Governor when the case was registered in 2021. The governor was also not informed about the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu today, reliable sources said. (Hydnow)
