Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Hydnow): Congress party MP A. Revanth Reddy urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to order a CBI probe into tragic fire accident at Srisailam powerhouse recently to bring out the actual reasons behind the accident besides the inquiry by Central Electricity Authority (CEA). The fire mishap has claimed the lives of nine people.
He wrote a letter to the PM on the issue. In his letter, he told the MP that there was a criminal angle into the incident. He said that the accident had led to the loss of crores of rupees public property. He told the PM that the fire accident at the plant would benefit some people. Reddy said that CBI inquiry into the issue would alone bring the facts to fore. Targeting the current CMD of TS Genco and Transco he said that the two Organisations were incurring losses due to the presence of Rao. He also urged the PM to order inquiry into the tenders finalised and power purchase agreements executed during the period of Rao. (Hydnow)
