Hyderabad, Aug.19 (Hydnow): Former Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today came in support of Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan who slammed the state government of K Chandrasekhar Rao on assessing and containing Corona cases spread in the state.
Reacting on her comments on failure of assessing the COVID -19 pandemic, Vidyasaagar Rao said that Tamilisai Soundararajan as a doctor has made some advises to the state government.
Tamilisai Soundararajan in an interview with a national news channel — India Today, has on Tuesday hit out that the state government has ignored her letters to increase tests for corona and contain virus spread and improve facilities in the city and all districts.
She has accused the KCR Government of failing to assess the pandemic and conduct more covid tests that led to steep rise in cases in Telangana. The former governor has opined that the virus could be checked from spreading by wide ranging conduct of tests across the state.
Corona is wide spread in the state and the government cannot confine tests to just Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad Vidyasagar Rao said. The cases are rising more the state government has to increase the tests in all districts by improving facilities he felt.
Rao stated that the state government has to decentralise the covid tests to all 33 districts. He also advised the state government to increase corona facilities in all 33 districts. In near future Telangana will be in favour of the BJP, Rao stated.
In other states the BJP came to power despite weaker than Telangana the former governor said. If that is the case why not the BJP comes to power in Telangana, he said. There are some other forces that will drive the BJP to come to power Vidyasagar Rao said. He said that the BJP has to give priority for BCs and weaker sections and strengthen it further. (Hydnow)
