Hyderabad, June 17 (Hydnow): Ms. Shalini Pathi, a PhD. scholar at the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), University of Hyderabad (UoH) has invited to participate in Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) 2020 on “Global Challenges” at University of Bergen, Norway from June 8 to 18.
Bergen Summer Research School 2020 explores the interfaces between science, society and global challenges. Six parallel courses will focus on key global challenges, including climate governance, sustainable cities, sustainable oceans, media & democracy, global food systems, and migrant health. Together with cross-cutting keynotes and social events, the courses will help 100 PhD candidates develop skills to create actionable knowledge.
Bergen Summer Research School is a partnership of NHH Norwegian School of Economics, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Chr.Michelsen Institute, and NORCE Norwegian Research, under the leadership of the University of Bergen. She has been offered a fully funded scholarship to attend the course on ‘Global Food Systems’. This year the school has shifted virtual due to covid-19 crisis.
Shalini will be presenting her ongoing work ‘Ecofeminist politics and the food systems: Study of environmental movements in Neoliberal India’ as a part of the course. Currently, she is working under supervision of Prof Raja Mohan Rao at the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), University of Hyderabad. (Hydnow)
