Amaravathi, June 16 (Hydnow): AP State government decided to construct six multispecialty hospitals for welfare of tribals of state. It has also decided to set up a government medical college called YSR Medical college at paderu of Visakapatnam district.

The state government has allocated huge amount of funds for the welfare of the tribals in its annual budget. The six multispecialty hospitals would come up at Seethampeta, Parvathipuram, Rampachodavaram,Chintoor, KRPuram and Srisailam areas of the state. The government has proposed adequate amount of funds to setup these hospitals along with the medical college. The state government is also constructing a tribal university at Vizianagaram district to bring higher education to the doorsteps of the tribals and to allow them to do research and protect their culture and heritage.

The details of the budgetary allocations for the tribal welfare department of the state was announced by the state finance minister B. Rajendranath Reddy during his budget speech in the house. (Hydnow)
