HC Asks Govt To Submit A Report In Missing Husband Case

Hyderabad, June 4 (Hydnow): Telangana High Court said State government to submit report by tomorrow informing it whether COVID 19 positive patient Allampally Madhusudhan was alive or dead? It also asked the state government as to why it did not communicate the news of his death to his wife till date? The HC passed these orders while dealing with a habeas corpus petition filed by the wife of the deceased patient Allampally Madhavi, a resident of Vanasthalipuram.

In her petition, she urged the HC to declare the action of the state government in illegally hiding the whereabouts of her husband Madhusuhdan as arbitrary unlawful and harmful. She also urged the HC to direct the state government to forthwith produce him before it. Responding on behalf of the state government, the advocate general of the state BS Prasad told the HC that Madhusudhan died a couple of days back due to the impact of corona virus. This has prompted the HC to ask the state government to submit a detailed affidavit in the issue by Friday. The Court later adjourned the case till Friday. (Hydnow)
