Hyderabad: A case has been booked against the AIMIM’s Malakpet legislator Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala on charges of making derogatory comments against Bangaru Shruthi, the national secretary of the BJP’s SC Morcha.
The case was booked under Section 509 of Indian Penal Code and Section 3(1) (r) of SC/ST Act following a complaint made by Shruthi.
According to the police, the AIMIM legislator, while visiting the house of a victim in a sexual assault case, had allegedly made some comments against Shruthi on May 7.

The video clip in which the legislator is seen making the comments went viral on social media following which BJP leaders demanded a case be booked against him. They also staged protests twice demanding that the police initiate action.
