Child Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod said her displeasure over lack of any relief measures for the tribals in Rs 20 lakh crore “Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abyhan” package declared by union government. She said this to Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda when he called her over phone on Monday and enquired about the response of STs in the state and also on the general reaction of the people of the State over the relief package.

While speaking her mind about the lack of direct impact of the package for the tribals of the State, she suggested that funds should be allocated to improve medical and transportation facilities in the tribal areas. She told the Union Minister that the State under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is taking all necessary steps to contain the virus and informed him that so far the tribal areas of the state have remained safe from the dreaded infection.

She also told the Minister that all steps have been taken to provide daily needs to the remote areas of the state, despite of the lockdown.
