Hyderabad, May 15 (Hydnow): A special meeting on plan of action for utilisation of Godavari River water during present Monsoon will be held under Chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on May 17.
The meeting, which will have the participation of Ministers from the Godavari catchment area and officials, will be held from 11 AM till end of the day. What would be the quantum of water to be released from Godavari this Monsoon, how much water to be diverted to SRSP and LMD, what quantity, when should water to be released to the reservoirs, how to utilise the water and other related issues will be discussed.
For this meeting, ministers from the Godavari catchment area, Prashanth Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy, Etela Rajender, K T Rama Rao , Koppula Eswar, Gangula Kamalakar, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Ms Satyavathi Rathod and Jagdeeswar Reddy were invited. Principal Secretary Rajat Kumar, CMP Secretary Ms Smita Sabharwal, E-in-C Muralidhar, SRSP CE Shankar, Kaleswaram CE Venkateswarlu, other irrigation senior engineers were also invited.

Like the meeting on Godavari River, the CM will also hold a meeting in a few days on the strategy to be implemented for the Krishna River water catchment area. (Hydnow)
