Hyderabad, Dec 3 (Hydnow): BRS Working President, K.Tarak Rama Rao said that we will respect the verdict of the people, and will discharge our duties as the responsible opposition.
Speaking to the media persons at Telangana Bhavan, today, he said that the results of the Assembly elections were declared. He said that KCR has resigned from the post of Chief Minister in defiance of the public verdict.
“Despite efforts made for the victory of the party candidates, the expected result did not come. Out of 119 seats, people were given 39 seats and were ordered to play the role of opposition. We will effectively carry out this responsibility given by the people. We will serve the government as and when we are entrusted with it. Taking the setback as a lesson, we learn the lessons. In these 23 years, there have been many setbacks. We have seen heights and heights in many cases. We have achieved the target of Telangana, we took power for two terms with the grace of the people. Satisfied with the progress made
Although today’s results are a bit disappointing, it’s okay. All this is natural in politics. BRS got 39 seats as a result of the hard work and struggle of leaders and activists. We will get involved in the role of opposition too. We work on behalf of 100 percent of the people and as the voice of the people. Heartfelt thanks to our party ranks and government officials and employees who have supported and cooperated every step of the way. Situational awareness is essential in politics. KCR has taught us to accept victory and defeat equally. We will work twice as hard as before. No activists should be disappointed.
People gave opportunities to the congress party, our congratulations to them too. He wants to run the government according to the aspirations of the people. As an opposition party, we will play a constructive role. KTR said that none of the activists should be discouraged. (Hydnow)
