Hyderabad, Sept 26 (Hydnow): Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh made the sensational comments on Ganesh Immersion.  He alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is acting against Hindus.  he accused the KCR government that came to power in 2014 of oppressing Hindus.  

he said that for the past few years, drainage of dirty water has been coming in Hussain Sagar.  Hussain Sagar s not getting polluted because of that? he asked.  Ganesh Nimajjanam has been taking place in Hussain Sagar as a tradition for many years and challenged the KCR government to do Nimajjanam in Hussain Sagar

He expressed anger that the High Court had ruled that the POP Vinayaka should not be immersed in Hussain Sagar because the counsel for the government could not argue properly in the court.

He challenged KCR to answer how much Hyderabad drainage is coming into Hussain Sagar or all the waste of factories coming into Hussain Sagar.  why has the KCR not been able to change Hussain Sagar to a freshwater lake as promised on the floor of the House?  He asked what is the pollution board doing in the state if you have the report that Hussain Sagar will be polluted due to the immersion of Ganesha. He said that it is the failure of the government behind the High Court to give such a verdict at a time when all the arrangements are being made for the immersion of Ganesh.  

when it was a United Andhra Pradesh, the then government gave a G.O. that Hussain Sagar would not be polluted by the POP Ganesh, Why didn’t the state government put that case before the High Court judge? he asked.  he revealed that the Ganesh Nimajjanam will be done in Hussain Sagar as always.

He said that the government would be held responsible for whatever happens if anyone interferes, at a time when a large-scale immersion is going to be held in Hyderabad in two days. The High Court has given key directions.  Protests also started when the officials who made arrangements for the immersion gave such orders.

Besides the Commissioner of Police, the High Court directed the GHMC commissioner to take appropriate action.  It has been clarified that the report should be submitted.  It is reported that the authorities are discussing what action to take.  Already 74 mini ponds have been set up in Hyderabad for the immersion of Ganesh idols.  22 of them are huge portable water tanks.  Pools have been made available in 23 places and baby ponds in 27 places.  The High Court orders that Plaster of Pars statues should be immersed in them.
