A 59-year-old man from Vijayawada had died after he was infected with Covid-19. He was a resident of Kummaripalem in the city. He was admitted to the government hospital on March 31.
After one hour of his admission in the hospital, he died. However, his death due to coronavirus was officially announced on Friday. According to reports, he contracted coronavirus from his son, who had returned to Vijayawada after attending Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin in Delhi. The delay in announcing the death was attributed to confirmation of tests.
