Hyderabad, Sept 17 (Hydnow): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who participated in the Telangana Liberation Day program organized by the Central government, wished all the people of Telangana on the day of liberation.
He said today is the day Hyderabad got liberated. He mentioned that he was paying tribute to the warriors who fought against Rajakars. Telangana would not have been liberated so soon if not for Sardar Patel. Amit Shah revealed that Nizam’s rule ended because of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations, at Parade Ground, today, Amit Shah said that some districts of Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra used to be part of the Hyderabad state. It is said that the necks of Nizam and Razakars were bent in the name of Operation Polo. He said that he paid tribute to Narasimha Rao, Pandit Keshav, Prabhar, Baddam Ellareddy, Burgula Ramakrishna Rao, and others who fought for the liberation of Telangana.
It has been 75 years since the Liberation Day of Hyderabad, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving permission to organize the celebrations officially under the auspices of the central government. He said that through the G20 conference, the countries of the world have come to know the cultural traditions of India. He said that the country has stood in the place of Vishwa Guru. No previous government has organized Liberation Day for vote bank politics. He said that Chandrayaan has been a success, it is a big pride for the country.
Those who don’t care about the history of Liberation Day are angry that people don’t even care. He said that they had to live as slaves for 399 days. during that time they treated the people very cruelly. He said that Patel started Operation Polo on the 400th day. He bent his neck to make the Nizam agree to the merger of Hyderabad without shedding a drop of blood. Amit Shah has suggested to the people of Telangana. Karnataka and Maharashtra that the sacrifices made by our forefathers should be passed on to future generations.
Earlier, Amit Shah reached the parade ground from the CRPF sector. On this occasion, tributes were paid to the martyrs at the war memorial. After that, the National flag was unveiled and the national anthem was sung.
After singing the National Anthem tributes paid to Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel and greeted the people. Later, as part of the celebrations, many cultural programs were arranged at the parade ground, Bathukamma dance, Koyanartya, performances of drum artists, bona, poturajula vinyasas, and Uggu artists were performed.
CRPF forces were deployed around the parade ground as part of Amit Shah’s visit. Inspections are being conducted at the railway station and bus station around the parade ground. Besides, police checks are being conducted in hotels and lodges within Secunderabad.
Before arriving at the parade grounds, Amit Shah, tweeted wishing the people of Telangana on Hyderabad Liberation Day, “I extend my heartiest greetings to the people of Telangana, Hyderabad-Karnataka & Marathwada region on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day. This day is a testament to the unwavering patriotism of the people of Hyderabad and the unceasing struggle of the people of Hyderabad for freedom from evil rule and oppression of the Nizam. Paying tribute to the martyrs of the Hyderabad Liberation War, he said on Twitter.
State BJP President, Kishan Reddy clarified that Telangana Liberation Struggle, a public movement, is Liberation Day. On the occasion of Liberation Day, the National Flag was hoisted at Nampally BJP state office. He called to stop the conspiracies that obscure history.
On the other hand, PV Sindhu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah who came to Hyderabad on Saturday night on the occasion of Telangana Liberation Day. PV Sindhu’s meeting with Union Minister and Telangana BJP president Kishan Reddy is also being discussed. Amit Shah showered praise on PV Sindhu. He said that the country is proud that she has received International appreciation for her exceptional sporting talent. (Hydnow)
