Hyderabad, June 21 (Hydnow): The High Court of Telangana has conducted an inquiry into the disappearance of children and human trafficking.
The Legal Service Authority has submitted a report to the High Court on the conditions in child welfare homes. The NGO said that all children’s homes in the state are run by NGOs. It has been revealed that there are no child welfare homes run by the government.
The Legal Service Authority has informed the Court that the condition of children’s homes in the state is deplorable. Human trafficking is a serious crime in many countries, the High Court said.
The High Court has commented that illegal trade in drugs, wildlife, and human trafficking is rampant internationally. The High Court said that there should be a special department for the control of illegal human trafficking in the state. It has been said that awareness should be raised among the investigation and judicial officers on the sensitive issue. (Hydnow)
