Hyderabad, Oct.2 (Hydnow): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav distributed Bathukamma Sarees among the women at Bansilalpet function hall in Secunderabad area here.
Speaking on the occasion the minister said that the government spent Rs 333 cr for producing 1 crore 8 lakhs of Bathukamma Sarees. This helped the weavers and handloom workers get income, he claimed. The minister attributed the sarees to the vision of the KCR government to help the handloom workers get work and income for a livelihood. The program will continue as the government offers this an elderly brother.
As per KCR directions all the ministers and leaders of the TRS are participating in the Bathukamma Sarees distribution in all districts, mandals and villages. The KCR Government is implementing several welfare schemes for the women and poor, he claimed. The government also gives clothes to the poor during Ramzan, Christmas and offering Ifthar dinner.
