Hyderabad, Aug.31 (Hydnow): TRS leader B Venkateshwarlu today slammed Congress MP Revanth Reddy for his baseless allegations against the irrigation projects and Transco CMD Prabhakar Rao.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Venkateshwarlu said Revanth Reddy was unfit for politics but an expert in settlements, land grabbing and criminal activities. The TRS whip said the powerless Congress was resorting to level baseless allegations on the irrigation projects. The State government was constructing projects on a fast pace which were neglected by the previous Congress regime, he alleged.

He also said Revanth Reddy was eyeing TPCC chief post and was trying to blame the TRS to please his high command. Reminding that TS Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao was also in power utilities during previous Congress regime, he said the Congress leaders were making ridiculous comments with grudge against the ruling party.

As the Congress party was immersed in internal feuds, its leaders were targeting the ruling party for sake of gaining popularity, he charged. Recalling that Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed in the notorious “Note for Vote” scam case, Venkateshwarlu said the accused was now making corruption charges against the ruling party. He slammed the Congress MP for launching Noble’s campaign against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Prabhakar Rao is an efficient official, who solved power crisis as per KCR’s guidelines and baseless comments against him were totally wrong”, he added.

Venkateshwarlu said as the TRS government was providing 24-hour power supply to the farm sector, the Congress was unhappy over this, he fumed. The State government will not keep quiet and will take action if the Congress or other leaders continue to make false charges, he warned. (Hydnow)
