Hyderabad, Nov.20 (Hydnow): According to information more than 600 nominations were submitted on the last day of GHMC Elections. Total number of nominations submitted were more than 1000 for 150 seats.
While yesterday, 537 candidates submitted 597 nominations for various divisions in GHMC area for the polls. The state election Commission will scrutinise them on 21st November and withdrawals of the same be on 22.The polling as per the schedule is slated to be held on December 1 and counting will be on 4 and announce the results on the same day. The candidates came to election returning offices with local leaders, and activists and forwarded the same. A total of 150 divisions are going for the big polls and there is huge competition. The TRS, the BJP, the congress and others have announced their lists of the candidates. The main fight is to be among the TRS, BJP and the Congress while a few other parties are also trying their luck. They have roped in the candidate who can win and are in the fray as all the main parties are claiming to mayor post. (Hydnow)
