Hyderabad, June 11 (Hydnow): A Cabinet Sub Committee meeting today decided to construct about one lakh platforms in villages for farm produce in all 32 districts except Hyderabad.
Since the farmers are protesting on roads due to lack of platforms the meeting discussed on the issue.
The committee comprising ministers S Niranjan Reddy, T Harish Rao, G Jagadish Reddy and officials met at Ministers quarters here.
It was estimated to cost around Rs 46,045 per platform to be built in 45 cm height and 45 sq meter area.
It is estimated that paddy to be produced this year in about 40 lakh to 45 lakh acres.
They discussed on several issues including — construct need based farm platforms in villages to protect from rains, encourage organic fertilisers making, increase produce and preserve, among others.
The committee will submit a report to Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao for his nod and take up works. (Hydnow)
